RDBMail Mail Add-in for Excel/Outlook 2011 or Apple Mail (Mac)

Briefly! RDBMailMac puts emailing of Excel sheets, data, and workbooks where you want it and when you want it as Workbook. It also allows significant customizing of what you send. As soon as you have the workbook open in Excel you have the ability to send all or part of it either in working format or with just the values that are shown by current data and formulas. Once RDBMailMac has been installed, this is all accessed by clicking on Tools > RDBMail in the menu.

1. Download the add-in

RDBMail add-in for Excel/Outlook 2011 or Apple Mail for the Mac
Add-in version 2.1 (8-Dec-2014)

Note: Will release version 2.2 soon so it will also work in El Capitan with Excel 2011 with Mac Mail, the code examples on my site are already up to date for Mac Mail.

Double-click the dmg file if it does not mount automatically. Drag the RDBMailMac.xlam file to the folder you want on your Mac.  Tip: Use one folder for all your add-ins (easy to backup your add-ins this way)

Note: RDBMail is available as freeware. But you can use the Contact button in the menu if you want to support the development of this mail add-in.

2. Start Excel and open a workbook

Click Tools, click Add-Ins, use "Select" to browse to and select the add-in and then
click Open. Verify RDBMailMac is checked in the add-in list and then click OK.

About the mail options

I think it is very easy to work with this add-in, but below you can find a small note about every mail option
that you find by clicking on the dropdown in the userform.

Workbook (two options)
There are two options, the first one creates a mail with a exact copy of the ActiveWorkbook and you can use the second option to create a copy of the ActiveWorkbook with the sheets you want into the new workbook (select the sheets in the ListBox). You have also an option to make values of all the formulas, delete every Object (pictures, buttons and other controls), comments and delete the VBA code if you want.

ActiveSheet (two options)
There are two options, the first one creates a mail with a new workbook with a exact copy of the ActiveSheet and you can use the second option to create a new workbook with a copy of the ActiveSheet and have a option to make values of all the formulas, delete every Object (pictures, buttons and other controls), Comments and delete the VBA code if you want.

Sheets (two options)
There are two options, the first one creates a mail with a new workbook with a exact copy of the selected sheets in the listBox and you can use the second option to create a new workbook with copy of the selected sheets in the listBox and also have an option to make values of all the formulas, delete every Object (pictures, buttons and other controls), comments and delete the VBA code if you want.

Selection (one option)
This option creates a mail with a new workbook with only the visible cells in the selection. If you have one cell selected the code will ask you to select a range but if more cells are selected it will use that range to create the mail.

What happens when I press on the Go button

When you make your choice and press on Go the SaveAs dialog popup and asks you for a file name and a new workbook will be saved after you press the OK Button. Then it will create the mail and it is up to you if you press the Send button. It is possible that the code will ask you for a password if you checked the copy as values option because it is not possible to do this on a protected sheet.

Is this easy or not?
Tip: for testing use you own mail address so you can check the workbook that you sent.

Customize Button

You can set a default E-mail address (easy for testing), default subject and small body text if you want.
